Licensed health care institutions must report annually to the Commissioner of Public Health beginning January 1, 2020, on each instance they utilized emergency air ambulance services for patient transport during the prior year

Reports must identify the specific emergency air ambulance service used, whether it is the primary service area responder as defined in statute, and the amount charged to the patient for the emergency transport

Defines "emergency air ambulance service" as any public, private, or voluntary organization that uses specially constructed, modified, or equipped aircraft to respond to emergency calls and transport critically ill or injured patients

Takes effect July 1, 2019
