Department of Consumer Protection shall conduct a study on legal and policy issues related to authorizing online gambling in Connecticut.

Study must examine legal obstacles to online gambling authorization, market analysis and potential market impacts, potential state revenue estimates, and recommendations for an online gambling licensing program.

Department shall consult with the Attorney General on legal issues, the Mashantucket Pequot Tribe and Mohegan Tribe of Indians of Connecticut on their interests and how online gambling could affect their operations, and other stakeholders as deemed necessary.

Department must submit a report to the joint standing committee on public safety and security by January 15, 2020, including findings and any recommendations for legislation.
