Requires manufacturers and wholesalers registered under Connecticut law to sell drugs distributed in the state to generic drug developers at a price not exceeding the wholesale acquisition cost.

Generic drug developers must charge Connecticut consumers the same price or less for drugs they manufacture based on samples purchased under this requirement.

Manufacturers and wholesalers cannot impose restrictions that would block or delay generic drug approval applications in violation of federal Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Act requirements.

Shields brand-name manufacturers and wholesalers from liability for product defects or inadequate safety warnings when they comply with this act and did not manufacture or sell the final generic product.

Violations of the drug sale availability or pricing requirements constitute unfair or deceptive trade practices under Connecticut law, effective October 1, 2019.
