Prohibits defendants from claiming a mental disease or defect defense based solely on discovery of, knowledge about, or potential disclosure of a victim's actual or perceived sex, sexual orientation, or gender identity or expression, effective October 1, 2019.

Eliminates the use of provocation as a justification defense when that provocation resulted solely from a victim's sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, including unwanted non-forcible romantic or sexual advances or a prior dating relationship.

Prohibits use of force justification when based solely on discovery of, knowledge about, or potential disclosure of a victim's actual or perceived sex, sexual orientation, or gender identity or expression.

Defines "gender identity or expression" as the term is defined in section 53a-181i of the general statutes.
