Requires the Commissioner of Social Services, in consultation with the Commissioner of Public Health, to establish a prescription drug importation program from Canada with federal approval.

Permits the Department of Social Services or a contracted entity to import prescription drugs from licensed Canadian manufacturers or distributors at significant cost savings.

Ensures imported drugs meet FDA quality and safety standards and comply with 21 USC 384 and 21 USC 360eee-1.

Limits imports to the costliest prescription drugs for the state medical assistance program and uninsured consumers, with pricing set to finance the program.

Protects existing Section 340B pharmaceutical manufacturer discounts and prohibits distribution or sale of imported drugs outside Connecticut's borders.
