Amends Connecticut General Statutes section 16-256e to eliminate a requirement that devices transmitting recorded electronic messages must continue transmission after the customer hangs up the receiver for the transmission to be prohibited.

Aims to reduce fraudulent activity conducted over the telephone by broadening prohibitions on spoofing technology.

Referred to the Committee on Energy and Technology during the January 2019 legislative session.
