Amends subsection (g) of section 14-12 of the general statutes to establish a penalty for driving a motor vehicle that has failed a safety inspection.

Applies to motor vehicles that have failed safety inspections conducted pursuant to section 14-12.

Aims to reduce unsafe vehicles on roadways and encourage compliance with motor vehicle safety laws.

Referred to the Committee on Transportation during the January 2019 legislative session.
