Amends section 29-252 of the general statutes to require the State Building Inspector and Codes and Standards Committee to revise the State Building Code for new construction and buildings undergoing substantial rehabilitation of parking areas or electrical systems.

One-to-three family homes must have at least one electric vehicle ready parking space (with appropriate electric wiring for future charging station installation).

Buildings with two to ten parking spaces must have at least 50% electric vehicle capable spaces and at least 20% electric vehicle ready spaces (rounded to nearest larger number).

Multi-unit residential or commercial buildings with 11 or more parking spaces must have at least 40% electric vehicle capable spaces, including 20% electric vehicle ready spaces (rounded to nearest larger number).
