Commissioner of Children and Families shall conduct a study on whether policy and procedural changes within the department may increase safety of children in state care and custody, effective July 1, 2019

Commissioner must report findings to the joint standing committee of the General Assembly having cognizance of matters relating to children on or before January 1, 2020

Report must follow provisions of section 11-4a of the Connecticut general statutes

Bill creates a new section and received a joint favorable recommendation from the Committee on Children
