Commissioner of Veterans Affairs must develop a training manual for employers on veteran mental health conditions, including post-traumatic stress disorder, suicide risk, depression, and grief, with guidance on identifying signs and symptoms and assisting affected veteran employees.

Training manual shall be published on the internet websites of the Department of Veterans Affairs and the Labor Department.

Commissioner of Veterans Affairs must develop a training program for vocational rehabilitation service providers on the same veteran mental health conditions, with guidance on identifying symptoms and assisting veteran recipients of vocational rehabilitation services.

Department of Rehabilitation Services shall use the training program in training or instruction activities under section 17b-655 of the general statutes.

Act takes effect October 1, 2019.
