Department of Social Services and Board of Regents for Higher Education shall jointly identify educational programs at regional community-technical colleges that qualify as supplemental nutrition assistance employment and training programs, with first identification by January 1, 2021, and annually thereafter.

Department of Social Services shall qualify identified educational programs as supplemental nutrition assistance employment and training programs and seek necessary federal approvals.

Department of Social Services and Board of Regents shall post and regularly update lists of qualified programs on their websites by July 1, 2021.

Students enrolled in higher education institutions who receive work-study approval as part of their financial aid package shall be considered as participating in a state or federally financed work-study program for SNAP eligibility purposes, regardless of whether they have received their actual work-study assignment.

Public institutions of higher education must notify students identified as potentially eligible for SNAP regarding qualification requirements, application procedures, and where to obtain application assistance.
