• Department of Public Health must develop or approve an informational poster about food allergies by December 1, 2020, for display in class 2, 3, and 4 food establishments.

• Poster must include information on common allergy-causing foods, server actions when customers report allergies, cross-contact prevention methods, and instructions to call 911 for allergic reactions on premises.

• Class 2, 3, and 4 food establishments must display the poster in a clear and conspicuous manner in the kitchen or designated staff area by January 1, 2021.

• Certified food protection managers must ensure all employees view the poster and familiarize themselves with its contents.

• Failure to display the poster constitutes grounds for an inspection violation under section 19a-36l of the general statutes.
