Funeral directors may serve nonalcoholic beverages and packaged food to persons making funeral arrangements or arranging for disposition of a dead human body at a funeral home.

Funeral directors may serve nonalcoholic beverages and catered food to persons attending funeral services at their establishment.

Funeral directors may provide space, facilities, equipment, or supplies for the distribution or consumption of nonalcoholic beverages and catered food during funeral services.

Funeral service businesses may not operate as class 1, class 2, class 3, or class 4 food establishments or catering food service establishments as defined in section 19a-36g.

The act takes effect October 1, 2020, and amends section 20-230e of the general statutes.
