State Board of Education shall provide professional services to identify children requiring special education enrolled at technical education and career schools in accordance with section 10-76a.

State Board of Education must determine the appropriateness of technical schools for each special education student's needs, provide appropriate educational programs, maintain records, and annually evaluate program progress and accomplishments.

Parents or guardians of special education students at technical schools have the right to hearing and appeal processes as provided in section 10-76h.

Repeals the provision allowing referral of special education students from technical schools to their home school districts when services preclude participation in vocational education programs.

Effective date: July 1, 2020.
