Extends dependent coverage under individual health insurance policies for children, stepchildren, and other dependent children until age twenty-six or until they obtain coverage through their own employment, whichever occurs first, effective January 1, 2021.

Applies the same age twenty-six dependent coverage requirement to dental insurance policies that are issued individually, ensuring dental coverage terminates no earlier than the policy anniversary date following the qualifying event.

Extends dependent coverage under group health insurance policies for children, stepchildren, and other dependent children until age twenty-six or until they obtain coverage through their own employment, with the same requirements applied to group dental insurance policies.

Requires all affected insurance policies to cover stepchildren and other dependent children on the same basis as biological children.

Amends Connecticut General Statutes sections 38a-497 (individual health insurance) and 38a-512b (group health insurance) with an effective date of January 1, 2021.
