The Labor Commissioner or authorized agent shall conduct a study of student interns and student teachers in Connecticut institutions of higher education, effective July 1, 2020.

The study shall examine whether student interns and student teachers should receive uniform stipends or hourly wages.

The study shall examine whether limits should be placed on the number of hours worked weekly by student interns and student teachers.

The Labor Commissioner must report findings to the joint standing committees of the General Assembly on higher education and employment advancement and labor by July 1, 2021.
