Department of Children and Families shall conduct a study on mandated reporter compliance with reporting requirements (Connecticut General Statutes sections 17a-101b to 17a-101d) for the period July 1, 2019 to June 30, 2020.

Study shall include the number of reports received from each category of mandated reporter, investigations into delayed or failed reporting with time delays documented, and notifications sent by the Commissioner to the Chief State's Attorney.

Study shall track mandated reporters found guilty under Connecticut General Statutes section 17a-101a, organized by reporter category.

Department must submit a report with study findings to the joint standing committee on children by January 1, 2021.

Act takes effect July 1, 2020.
