Bill Summary: HB 5343

• Adds local representation to the Connecticut Siting Council for proceedings involving electric distribution companies by requiring appointment of one elector from the affected municipality(ies)

• Local representative serves as a non-voting member and must abide by confidentiality rules; if facility spans multiple municipalities, the regional council of governments appoints one representative

• Effective October 1, 2020; amends Connecticut General Statutes Section 16-50j
