Repeals and replaces Section 20-14p of Connecticut general statutes effective July 1, 2020, to prohibit covenants not to compete involving licensed physicians.

Voids and renders unenforceable any covenant not to compete entered into, amended, extended, or renewed on or after July 1, 2020, that restricts a physician's right to practice medicine in any geographic area of the state for any period of time.

Allows enforcement of covenants not to compete that were entered into, amended, extended, or renewed prior to July 1, 2020, with the party seeking enforcement bearing the burden of proof in any proceeding.

Preserves all other provisions of contracts or agreements containing voided non-compete clauses, including provisions requiring payment of damages resulting from injury caused by contract termination.

Applies to any employment or other contract establishing a professional relationship with a physician licensed under Connecticut law.
