The Commissioner of Consumer Protection shall amend existing Connecticut state agency regulations under section 20-332 of the general statutes to add a definition of "preglazed or preassembled" flat glass.

"Preglazed or preassembled" is defined as a window or door product where glass (finished or unfinished) has been installed into a structural frame at the factory.

The definition requires that glass edges shall not have been exposed at any point to a post-manufacturing process.

The act takes effect upon passage and creates a new section in the regulations.
