Permittees authorized to sell alcoholic liquor for on-premises consumption may use self-pour automated systems activated by payment card to dispense beer, cider not exceeding 6% alcohol by volume, and wine.

Self-pour systems may only serve authorized employees or persons verified to be 21 years of age or older with government-issued identification matching the payment card name, with verification recorded by the permittee.

Systems shall not dispense more than 32 ounces of beer or cider (6% ABV or less) or 10 ounces of wine per serving before the payment card is reactivated by the permittee or employee.

Department of Consumer Protection must amend regulations by October 1, 2020 to allow self-pour automated systems and ensure second and subsequent servings are only allowed after the first serving has been substantially consumed.
