Hamden is not required to implement a municipal property revaluation prior to the assessment year beginning October 1, 2020, notwithstanding Connecticut General Statutes section 12-62 or other applicable laws.

The decision to delay revaluation must be approved by Hamden's legislative body.

The town's rate maker may prepare new rate bills under chapter 204 of the general statutes to implement the delayed revaluation.

Any subsequent required revaluation must follow section 12-62 procedures and resume at the point in the revaluation schedule where Hamden was positioned before the delay.

The act takes effect upon passage.
