Requires municipalities that hire firefighters to reimburse the initial employing municipality 50% of entry-level training costs if hired within two years of training completion, effective July 1, 2020.

Defines "cost of entry-level training" as the total cost of training, equipment, uniforms, salary, fringe benefits, and related expenses, excluding any equipment or uniforms returned by the firefighter.

Applies only to paid firefighters employed by municipalities, not volunteer firefighters.

Exempts municipalities that hire a firefighter two or more years after the firefighter completes entry-level training from the reimbursement requirement.

Does not affect existing agreements between firefighters or collective bargaining units and municipalities entered into before July 1, 2020 that provide for training cost reimbursement.
