Allows two or more municipalities within a regional tourism district to jointly appoint one representative to the district board of directors instead of requiring individual appointments from each municipality.

A jointly appointed representative is counted as present for quorum purposes at board meetings for each municipality they represent and may vote on behalf of each municipality.

Board members appointed by municipalities serve three-year terms.

Regional tourism district boards may additionally appoint up to twenty-one persons representing tourism interests within the district.

All board of directors appointments must be reported to the Commissioner of Economic and Community Development; board members are not considered state employees.
