Defines a "shared table" as a designated location in school cafeterias where students and employees may leave and take unconsumed food and beverage items for later consumption.

Requires the Department of Education, in consultation with the Department of Public Health, to develop implementation guidelines by January 1, 2021, covering types of eligible food items, food safety best practices, and processes for donation and disposal of unclaimed food.

Guidelines must comply with regulations from the Department of Public Health, United States Food and Drug Administration, and United States Department of Agriculture.

Authorizes any school under local or regional board of education jurisdiction to voluntarily implement a shared table program beginning with the school year commencing July 1, 2021, and each school year thereafter.

Effective date is July 1, 2020.
