Requires all Connecticut public school districts to include Native American studies as part of the social studies curriculum beginning July 1, 2020, taught by legally qualified teachers.

Mandates the curriculum focus on Northeastern Woodland Native American Tribes of Connecticut and comply with state-wide subject matter content standards adopted by the State Board of Education.

Authorizes local and regional boards of education to accept gifts, grants, and donations (including in-kind donations) to support development and implementation of the Native American studies curriculum.

Directs the State Board of Education to make curriculum materials and resources available to assist local and regional boards in developing instructional programs for Native American studies.

Effective dates are July 1, 2020 for the curriculum requirement and July 1, 2021 for additional amendments to section 10-16b adding African-American, black, Puerto Rican, and Latino studies.
