Establishes a task force to study the Connecticut Insurance Department, effective upon passage.

Task force consists of 10 members: two each appointed by House Speaker and Senate President Pro Tempore; one each appointed by House and Senate majority leaders; one each appointed by House and Senate minority leaders; the Insurance Commissioner or designee; and two appointed by the Governor.

All appointments must be made within 30 days of the effective date, with the first task force meeting scheduled within 60 days.

Administrative support provided by the joint standing committee staff with cognizance over insurance matters.

Task force must submit findings and recommendations to the insurance joint standing committee by January 1, 2021, and terminates upon report submission or January 1, 2021, whichever is later.
