Extends dependent coverage under individual health insurance policies until the policy anniversary date on or after the child reaches age 26 or obtains coverage through their own employment, effective January 1, 2021.

Extends dental and vision coverage specifically under individual and group health insurance policies for children, stepchildren, and other dependent children until age 26 or until they obtain employer-sponsored coverage.

Requires the same coverage basis for stepchildren and other dependent children as provided for biological children under all applicable policies.

Applies identical coverage extension requirements to group health insurance policies as those mandated for individual policies.

Effective date of January 1, 2021 for amendments to Connecticut General Statutes sections 38a-497 and 38a-512b.
