Repeals and replaces Section 46b-25 of the general statutes to remove the race designation requirement from marriage licenses.

Marriage licenses shall now require applicants' name, age, birthplace, residence, marital status, and conservator/guardian information, but not race.

Social Security numbers of both applicants continue to be recorded in the "administrative purposes" section of the license.

The bill becomes effective on October 1, 2020.
