Local and regional boards of education may offer black and Latino studies courses in grades 9-12 starting July 1, 2021, and shall offer such courses beginning July 1, 2022 and each year thereafter.

Turnaround committees for schools in the commissioner's network must now include four board-appointed members (instead of two), with at least three being parents or guardians, and three teacher-union-appointed members (instead of two).

Each local and regional board of education shall submit annual computer science instruction reports by April 30 beginning in 2021, including data on courses offered, student enrollment disaggregated by demographic subgroups, and educator information.

School readiness program grant eligibility is extended to former priority school districts that continue receiving grants beyond their five-year initial eligibility period if no longer designated as priority districts.
