The Bolton Lakes Regional Water Pollution Control Authority, established April 23, 2003, by concurrent ordinances of Bolton and Vernon, is authorized to expand its wastewater system into the town of Coventry.

The board of directors may take any action deemed necessary to implement the wastewater system expansion into Coventry, notwithstanding existing state statutes, regulations, and local ordinances.

The law overrides conflicting provisions in General Statutes sections 22a-500, 22a-501, and 22a-517, as well as regulations by the Commissioner of Energy and Environmental Protection.

The act becomes effective upon passage and creates a new statutory provision.
