Senate rules for the September 29, 2020 special session shall be the same as the 2020 regular session rules, except as amended by this resolution

Bills or resolutions filed in the House may be transmitted to the Senate first with the Speaker's consent, and vice versa with the President Pro Tempore's consent

Order of business consists of: reception of communications from the Governor and Secretary of State, introduction of bills and resolutions, committee reports, and reception of business from the House

Only bills and substantive resolutions specified in Joint Rules paragraph 1 of Rule 7, certified as required, and resolutions pertaining to special session rules, journal printing, and session expenses shall be received

Amendments reducing revenues or increasing expenditures must include a signed, typewritten explanation of how to balance the state budget; wireless devices cannot be used in the Senate chamber or gallery to record during session
