Amends section 17b-277 of the general statutes to require the Commissioner of Social Services to provide Medicaid coverage for maternal care for twelve months post-pregnancy

Authorizes implementation through either applying for a Medicaid waiver under Section 1115 of the Social Security Act or providing state-funded services within available appropriations

Aims to reduce costly negative health outcomes through expanded postpartum care coverage
