Amends section 17a-302a of the general statutes to require the Commissioner of Aging and Disability Services to file a report with the joint standing committees on aging and human services.

Report must include statistics on the number of meals on wheels delivered and congregate meals served by each area agency on aging.

Report must estimate the percentage of eligible senior citizens in each area not receiving meals and identify cutbacks in meal service related to inadequate reimbursement.

Report must compare the actual cost to provide each meal against state reimbursement rates.

Report must include recommendations for improvement, including best practices nationwide to prevent malnutrition among senior citizens.
