Amends section 10-244a of Connecticut general statutes to authorize school resource officers and school security officers to carry firearms while on duty at public schools.

Requires the state to provide funding to local and regional boards of education for hiring school resource officers or school security officers.

Exempts school districts that already employ a school resource officer or school security officer from the state funding requirement.
