Prohibits insurers, health care centers, hospital service corporations, medical service corporations, fraternal benefit societies, and similar entities from paying reduced reimbursement to licensed podiatrists solely because of their profession status, effective January 1, 2022.

Applies to individual and group health insurance policies providing coverage types specified in Connecticut General Statutes section 38a-469, subdivisions (1), (2), (4), (11), and (12).

Requires that podiatrists receive equal reimbursement when providing covered benefits within their scope of practice compared to other licensed health care providers.
