Department of Public Health shall administer the Connecticut School Health Survey to grades 9-12 biennially beginning July 1, 2022, based on the CDC's Youth Risk Behavior Survey, contingent on receiving CDC funding.

Local and regional boards of education must administer the survey to randomly selected high schools according to department guidelines, including passive parental consent, anonymous administration to protect student privacy, and specified protocols.

Department of Public Health may develop additional survey questions in consultation with the Department of Mental Health and Addiction Services, Office of Early Childhood, Department of Children and Families, Department of Education, and other relevant agencies or groups.

Child Advocate shall develop and update questions by October 1, 2022, designed to assess youths' risk of becoming victims of sexual assault or misconduct by an adult, to be included in the Connecticut School Health Survey.
