Establishes a working group to study Connecticut's criminal procedure laws, with particular focus on Title 54 of the general statutes, to recommend legislative changes.

Working group consists of six members appointed by legislative leadership: one each appointed by the Speaker, President Pro Tempore, and Majority Leader of both chambers, plus one each from the Minority Leaders of both chambers; all members must have criminal procedure expertise.

Requires the working group to submit findings and recommendations to the joint standing judiciary committee by January 1, 2022.

Working group automatically terminates on the date it submits its report or January 1, 2022, whichever is later.

Act takes effect upon passage.
