Repeals and replaces Section 9-176 of Connecticut general statutes effective October 1, 2021, governing procedures for presidential electors.

Presidential electors must meet at the Secretary of State's office at noon on the first Monday after the second Wednesday of December following their election to cast ballots for President and Vice President.

Each elector must cast ballots for the candidates whose names they ran under on the official election ballot; any elector who fails to do so shall have their votes nullified and forfeit their position, creating a vacancy to be filled by remaining electors.

Remaining electors must elect a replacement elector by ballot if any elector is absent or a vacancy occurs, and the replacement must vote for the candidates the departed elector was pledged to support.

Updates gender-specific language from "his" and "he" to gender-neutral terms like "such elector's" and "his or her" for consistency.
