Bill Summary: SB 241 (Public Act 21-179)

• Requires the Connecticut Port Authority executive director to submit quarterly reports on contracts, harbor projects, and State Pier construction in New London to the transportation committee, with joint review by the Commissioners of Administrative Services and Office of Policy and Management.

• Increases the Connecticut Port Authority board from 15 to 21 voting members, adding the chief elected officials of New London, New Haven, and Bridgeport as ex officio members, plus four additional governor-appointed members.

• Mandates the executive director to submit a plan by January 1, 2022 for a transparent and equitable process for selecting and disbursing grants through the Small Harbor Improvement Projects Program.
