Establishes a task force to study regulation of professional bondsmen (Chapter 533), bail enforcement agents (Chapter 533a), and surety bail bond agents (Chapter 700f) under Connecticut law.

Task force shall examine how other states regulate these professionals and make recommendations for greater accountability and oversight.

Task force consists of 9 members appointed by legislative leaders, including representatives from bail insurance companies, professional bondsmen, municipal police, criminal justice commissions, and state correction, prosecution, and public defense officials.

First meeting must be held within 60 days of the effective date, with all initial appointments made within 30 days.

Task force must submit findings and recommendations to the joint standing committee on public safety and security by January 1, 2022, and shall terminate on that date or upon report submission, whichever is later.
