Commissioner of Social Services shall conduct a study of Medicaid-funded state programs administered under Title XIX of the Social Security Act

Study shall examine factors pertinent to quality of care, gaps in access for eligible residents, and whether Medicaid waivers should be sought to expand medical assistance access

Commissioner must report findings by July 1, 2022 to the joint standing committees of the General Assembly with cognizance over aging and human services matters

Report may include commissioner's recommendations for addressing identified gaps in Medicaid-funded services and improving access for senior citizens and others

Provision takes effect upon passage
