Court Support Services Division shall develop a community response education program for neighborhoods and municipalities notified of registered sexual offenders residing in their area, effective July 1, 2021.

Program purpose is to assist neighborhoods, senior centers, parents, and children in learning to protect themselves from sexual abuse and assault, including information on offender registration, supervision, and community notification requirements.

Program may include initial community meetings with police and school officials, violation reporting procedures, educational resources for families and senior citizens, "Safe Houses" networks, school-based safety programs, and lists of protective agencies and rape crisis centers.

Court Support Services Division may apply for and receive grants from federal government, foundations, corporations, associations, or individuals to fund program development.
