Senate Bill 907 Summary

• Replaces the title "workers' compensation commissioner" with "administrative law judge" throughout Connecticut General Statutes sections related to workers' compensation, effective October 1, 2021.

• Reduces the advisory board meeting requirement from twice per calendar quarter to once per calendar quarter for the Workers' Compensation Commission.

• Removes provisions establishing a full-time salaried director position for the Statistical Division within the Workers' Compensation Commission.

• Eliminates the Second Injury Fund transfer mechanism for injuries occurring on or after July 1, 1995, keeping such claims as the responsibility of the employer or insurer.

• Repeals sections 31-276a, 31-298a and 31-304 of the general statutes and removes reference to subsection (c) of section 31-349 regarding Second Injury Fund liability.
