Individual and group health insurance policies must continue coverage for children, stepchildren, and other dependent children until the policy anniversary date after the dependent turns 26 years old, effective January 1, 2022

Dental and vision coverage included in health insurance policies must also extend to dependent children until age 26, matching the existing requirement for medical coverage

Removes the prior provision that allowed coverage to terminate early if a dependent obtained their own employer-sponsored group health plan

Stepchildren and other dependent children must be covered on the same basis as biological children under all affected policies

Applies to all individual and group health insurance policies delivered, issued, amended, renewed, or continued in Connecticut
