Requires all local and regional boards of education to offer reasonable accommodations on testing, assessments, and school work to English language learner students, effective July 1, 2022, and each school year thereafter.

Permissible accommodations include additional time to complete school work and tests, assessments in a student's native language, and bilingual education or English as a second language programs as defined in Connecticut General Statutes section 10-17e.

Applies to all school years commencing July 1, 2022 and beyond.

Received joint favorable recommendations from the Committee on Children and Education Committee.
