Physicians renewing licenses must complete 50 contact hours of continuing medical education within 24 months, with mandatory training every six years in infectious diseases, risk management, sexual assault, domestic violence, cultural competency, and behavioral health.

Effective October 1, 2022, physicians' risk management training may include screening for endometriosis in addition to inflammatory breast cancer and gastrointestinal cancers.

Cultural competency training must address systemic racism, explicit and implicit bias, racial disparities, and the experiences of transgender and gender diverse persons on patient diagnosis, care and treatment.

University of Connecticut Health Center must develop a plan by January 1, 2023 to establish an endometriosis data and biorepository program to collect biological samples and phenotypic data, improve diagnostic methods, and develop new treatments.

The biorepository program must ensure diverse representation including Black persons, Latino persons, other persons of color, transgender and gender diverse persons, and persons with disabilities affected by endometriosis.
