Commissioner of Social Services, in consultation with the Commissioner of Aging and Disability Services, shall conduct a study of the state's long-term care needs.

Study must include the number of state residents age 60 and older in 2021 and projected number for 2025.

Study must include the number of residents age 60 and older and adults under 60 with disabilities requiring long-term care in 2021 and projected needs for 2025.

Study must track residents removed from institutionalized settings to home and community-based settings under the Money Follows the Person demonstration project during 2017-2021 and resulting state expenditure savings.

Commissioner must report study results and recommendations for addressing gaps in long-term care provision by July 1, 2023 to joint standing committees of the General Assembly on aging and human services.
