Repeals and replaces Section 7-148cc of Connecticut General Statutes to allow two or more municipalities to jointly perform any function that each municipality may separately perform by entering into an interlocal agreement.

Expands the definition of "municipality" to include municipalities as defined in section 7-187, districts under section 7-324, metropolitan districts, and municipal districts created under section 7-330 located in Connecticut.

Permits joint performance of municipal functions under interlocal agreements pursuant to sections 7-339a to 7-339l, inclusive, notwithstanding any conflicting general statute, special act, charter, home rule ordinance, or local law.

Takes effect October 1, 2022.
