Secretary of the Office of Policy and Management must submit recommended allocations of opioid litigation settlement funds to the joint standing committees on public health and appropriations within 10 days of the effective date.

Joint standing committees must hold a meeting within 15 days of receiving recommendations to approve, modify, or reject allocations, and no funds may be disbursed before committee approval.

Secretary must immediately notify committees if any approved allocation is found to be non-compliant with settlement terms, specifying the amount, recipient, and reason for the determination.

Any proposed changes to allocations require committee approval through the same 15-day review and meeting process before funds can be disbursed.

Secretary must submit a comprehensive report by October 1, 2022, detailing all funds received and disbursed, plus a plan for remaining anticipated settlement funds.
